Heard nice things on line about this place and noticed a good crowd of locals visiting. This place is a great value for the portion sizes. The take out prices are slightly less than the restaurant prices, which are still very reasonable. Fish is fresh and tender. The chips and fish batter are not greasy. Hope to visit again.

We are locals and to us Parkinson’s are the best jumbo haddock and chips in Louth. We have had many different foods from here and can recommend all. Marcus definitely knows how to cook his fish, excellent every time. Jumbo skinless haddock is superb the chunky flakes of fish are the best. The staff are great and friendly the wait is not too bad (from the queues) well worth waiting for. Always freshly cooked, why go anywhere else. Keep on doing what you’re doing Parkinson’s.- Service

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time and £10.50 for haddock, chips, peas, bread roll and drink is an absolute bargain. Plus haddock was skin on which I love! Staff were kind. Would highly recommend.

Great freshly cooked fish and chips. We had the regular haddock and chips special, which included peas, a bread roll and a cup of tea, all for £12. Fish was delicious with crispy batter and the chips were very well cooked. Staff were really pleasant. Overall a great dining experience and would definitely recommend.

2 years since I wrote this review so maybe time for an update:
We visit family & friends in Louth a few times a year, coming down from Glasgow which is a bit of a trek. Every time we visit I must visit Parkinson's (often more than once). Not only are the chips some of the best you'll ever try, they are consistently great. When I find something good I tend to stick with it so I've also tried:
battered burger; gorgeous with really crisp batter,
bread rolls; fresh and tasty,
curry sauce; delicious,
mushy peas; spot on,
onion rings; crisp and tasty,
Never been disappointed. The prices are great and the staff are lovely.
If I were a fish eater the home made fish cakes look perfect. On one visit a friend was with me who had one and said they were gorgeous, seriously old school, home made, just the ticket. Another occasion my daughters boyfriend was with us and had the fish, said it was lovely and couldn't believe the portion size - he couldn't finish it.
I'm a bit of chip fan and have tried them from the south coast through to the highlands of Scotland and these are still my number 1.- Food

Excellent food, fish is always amazing. They could do with more than one person frying when busy though as you can be waiting awhile for fish.

Staff friendly and the food is always freshly cooked and the fish is excellent. It's great value too. By far the best chippy in Louth and possibly Lincolnshire

Proper chippy with flaky fish that melts in your mouth. The chips were my wife's favourite part of the meal. Staff were friendly and chatted with us about the area and town. Very well priced meal for a family of 4 (£23 with extras), and the kid portions were more than enough. Could not have been more pleased with our meal

Popped into Parkinsons when we visited Louth, and it's a great chippy! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was spot on. It was so good, we went back the following day...and it was just as good as the previous day! Staff are friendly and fast to serve, and there's no rush to get you fed and out. If I lived in Louth I'd use Parkinsons as my main chippy. Thanks guys. Brilliant.

Brilliant old style fish and chip shop. Great staff, lovely food and ridiculously inexpensive. Stumbled on this establishment when passing through. Now I go out of my way to visit Louth and always pop into the fish shop. Not had a proper fish scallop since I was a kid and now 60 years later, there they are with a good portion of fantastic chips for well under £4. Happy days
